During his sabbatical he was trained in Acute & General (Internal Medicine) in Western General Hospital & Royal Infirmary Edinburgh in United Kingdom and attained an International Fellowship in Acute & General (Internal) Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (RCPE). Later he achieved the degree of Master of Science in Critical Care with Merit from the University of Edinburgh, and elected a Fellow of the Royal College of physicians of Edinburgh .
